Slow Cooker Apple Cobbler

Slow Cooker Apple Cobbler

Dessert made itself while you weren’t looking. This warm, cinnamon-spiced apple cobbler comes together in minutes and does all its magic in the slow cooker — tender apples, a sweet crumble topping, and the kind of smell that fills your whole house with something good. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and watch it disappear.

Works with any Blanket Pancake & Waffle Mix flavor.

Makes about 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced

  • ½ cup Blanket Pancake & Waffle Mix (any flavor)

  • ¾ cup quick oats

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • ½ cup butter, melted

  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Directions

  1. Spray the bottom of your slow cooker with cooking spray.

  2. Peel, core and slice apples and place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.

  3. In a bowl combine Blanket mix, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, salt and lemon juice. Stir to combine.

  4. Pour the mixture evenly over the apples.

  5. Drizzle melted butter over the top.

  6. Cook on high for 2½ hours. For a crispier top crack the lid for the last 15–30 minutes.

  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
